Internal Audit and External Audit apply the same field record discipline to different responsibilities.

Internal Audit or External Audit?

Choose Internal Audit to manage improvements at your own Locations with owners and Actions. Choose External Audit to inspect independent businesses against your standards and follow Findings on later visits. Each Organisation uses one of these two products.

Do inspected businesses sign in?

In External Audit, the inspected business has no access and is not assigned Actions in the product. Communication and correction happen in your own processes; observations from the next visit are added to the audit record.

Can a municipality use its existing checklists?

An institution’s control criteria can be prepared as Templates. Teams use the same checklist across businesses; separate approval and Finding tracking can be enabled where needed. Notices, enforcement and permits stay in the institution’s own systems.

Can an audit firm work across industries?

Yes. Separate Templates can be used for restaurants, markets, cafés or other sites. Each Location and Template pair creates a separate audit, keeping client visit records distinct.
